This Surah was revealed in Makkah and it has 7 verses.
It is narrated from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) that if a person recites this Surah in any of his prayers, then they will be accepted.The sins of those who recite this Surah are forgiven.
If recited a hundred times after the Fajr prayers, one remains safe until the next day’s Fajr time.
Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said that if a person recites Surah al-Maa’un fourty-one times every day, he and his family will remain free from being dependant on others for their sustenance.
(It is recommended that salawaat should also be recited after the first and last ten times).
